What is a finished dog and what can you expect him to do?

What is a started dog and what can you expect him to do?

We sell quite a few started dogs every year.
Point and hold wild birds 90% of the time
Handle for the hunter in the field  
Price of started dogs range from $800 to $2000.00 depending on how far along they are. 

FINISHED GUN DOGS FOR SALE

We have two very nice male gundogs for sale
Hawk is 2 years old and Duce is three years old
Both dogs have been hunted extensively on wild birds
Point with great style, back on site and have been force broke to retrieve.
These dogs are foot walking easy handling in the field.

Big Country Kennel Puppy Guarantees

1. We guarantee that every puppy we sell will be free from genetic defects of the hips and eyes.  If any defect is noted, immediately notify us and provide the proper diagnostic and veterinary reports.

2. We guarantee every pup will be up to date on all necessary vaccinations, worming, etc.  It is the buyers responsibility to consult with their local veterinarian to keep the vaccination schedule up to date.  Rabies shots are the responsibility of the new owner.

3. We further guarantee that upon notification of any health/genetic defects, 
along with proper diagnostic and veterinarian reports we will replace the pup 
from the next most similar breeding we have scheduled.

We sell a limited number of puppies. 

The puppies we do not sell will be next years trained gun dogs.

The sires we choose to breed to are all well bred gun dogs who are excellent foot walking hunting dogs with natural ability. Most of our dogs are line bred Elhew, Guard Rail and Fiddler bred.

We only breed to females that are well bred hunting dogs who possess  the qualities we look for in our finished gun dogs. 

We strive to produce puppies that are classy, smart, biddable, have good noses,  excellent conformation and love people.
